Abstract
Keratoacanthoma centrifugum marginatum (KCM) is a rare variant of keratoacanthoma that is characterized by a peripherally growing tumor with raised borders and central atrophy.1-4 Treatment of KCM is challenging due to its large size, rarity, and location on sensitive surfaces, making excision suboptimal in certain cases.4-11 Here, we present a rare case of KCM on the face that was successfully treated with oral methotrexate after failing several recommended therapies for KCM. Therefore, we propose the name keratoacanthoma faceii centrifugum (KFC) for this specific variant of KCM, as this entity may be unique in its presentation, initial differential diagnoses, and response to treatment.
