Abstract
Rhabdomyomatous Mesenchymal Hamartoma (RMH) is a rare, typically congenital, benign hamartomatous lesion of the dermis and subcutaneous tissues. The lesions consist of disordered and varied collections of mature skeletal muscle, adipose tissue, adnexal elements and nerve bundles. RMH is usually a solitary, polypoid, midline lesion of the head or neck, notably the chin. While the majority of RMH cases are sporadic, they have been shown to occur with multiple ectodermal/mesodermal abnormalities. Herein, we present a patient who presented with a nodular RMH on his chin and followed here with a clinical course and histologic evaluation. This case demonstrates a unique malady that supports multiple and rare conditions be considered when conducting differential diagnoses for standard appearing dermatologic manifestations.
