David Joseph DiCaudo, M.D., is a board-certified dermatopathologist and dermatologist. He is Professor of Dermatology and Laboratory Medicine/Pathology at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. Dr. DiCaudo serves as Chair of the Division of Dermatopathology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Dr. DiCaudo graduated from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He completed consecutive residency training programs in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. DiCaudo’s areas of special interest and expertise include cutaneous lymphomas, malignant melanoma, and coccidioidomycosis. He has authored more than 90 scientific manuscripts. Dr. DiCaudo also has a special interest in education. He served as the dermatology residency program director in Arizona from 2011-2020. He has received the Teacher of the Year Award from the dermatology residents six times over the past two decades and was named Program Director of the Year in 2018 at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He currently serves as a leader of the dermatology course for second-year medical students, and he serves as the dermatology residency advisor for Mayo Clinic Arizona medical students.
