Fatimatou Saka is a second-year medical student at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Inspired by mentors and her experiences as a medical assistant, she developed an interest in dermatology. Her volunteer work at Los Angeles General Hospital highlighted the impact of social determinants on healthcare, reinforcing her commitment to practicing medicine in underserved areas. Saka is dedicated to promoting health equity and conducting research to support immigrant and minority communities.
