The advent of multimodal AI models such as ChatGPT 5.0, capable of generating both detailed text and images from a single prompt, offers innovative opportunities for dermatopathology education and research. This study explores using ChatGPT 5.0 to generate a conceptual microscopic image of neurothekeoma along with its detailed histopathologic description, based solely on text prompt input without access to real histology slides. Neurothekeoma is a rare dermal tumor with distinct histological features challenging to visualize for trainees. By prompting ChatGPT 5.0 to create a microscopic image reflecting characteristic features - lobulated nests of spindle and epithelioid cells within myxoid stroma, shown in hematoxylin and eosin stain style- the AI produced a plausible conceptual illustration suitable for educational purposes. Concurrently, the platform generated a precise, structured description covering architectural patterns, cytologic details, immunohistochemistry, and key differential diagnoses. While the AI-generated image cannot replace true digitized histologic slides or clinical images, its conceptual visualization complements text-based descriptions, enhancing learner engagement and understanding of rare entities. Limitations include variability in image accuracy and lack of true diagnostic detail. This study highlights the emerging role of multimodal AI in dermatopathology teaching, offering a proof-of-concept for combining AI-generated visuals and pathology descriptions. Future work will focus on refining image generation fidelity, integrating validated histology datasets, and assessing educational impact in dermatopathology training programs. These advances could transform how rare tumors like neurothekeoma are taught and understood in the digital era.
