Biography

Akbar Faruqi is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine candidate at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and a Dermatology Research Volunteer at Rush University Medical Center. He engages in clinicopathologic research in dermatology and dermatopathology, with additional bench experience studying neurodegenerative mechanisms at LECOM. Akbar serves as President of the Oncology Club and has supported case reports and clinical studies emphasizing diagnostic accuracy, histopathologic correlation, and pragmatic approaches to cutaneous oncology. He is committed to collaborative research, medical education, and advancing evidence-based dermatopathology.
