Abstract
Basal cell carcinoma and melanoma-containing neoplasms (MM-BCC), also known as basomelanocytic tumors, are relatively uncommon despite being well-documented in the literature. A recent extensive literature review on melanomas arising in conjunction with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) documented only 34 cases. Based on the previous two sources, MM-BCC was more commonly observed in the head and neck region, followed by the trunk. We present the case of a 95-year-old female with a lesion on the tip of her nose diagnosed as malignant melanoma focally infiltrating basal cell carcinoma on wide local excision.
